For the good course of your stay, and that of the persons who will succeed you, we thank you in advance not to smoke inside the tiny house, to be attentive when you smoke outside, and to respect the few points below.
Remove your shoes before entering the tiny house.
Thank you for using the wooden board during your culinary preparations.
Use of the dry toilet
It’s very easy!
After each visit to the toilet, a sufficient quantity of sawdust is deposited to cover all the liquid as well as the feces. No need to put too much!
When the bucket is full, transport it to the compost and empty the bucket.
After emptying, the bucket is cleaned with water then put back in the toilet.
Sawdust bags are available behind the dry toilet.
Use of the solar shower
As soon as possible, place the solar shower, previously filled with cold water (fill 2/3 full to avoid tearing the bag), flat on the black support located behind the tiny house.
The sun will now do the rest.
If the weather is too cloudy, heat water on the stove in the kettle and mix it with cold water to the temperature you want. A bucket is available in the shower.
Waste sorting and compost
A recycling bin is available.
You will be able to empty it into our recycling bin when you leave.
In the countryside it is easy to make compost.
We provide a compost bin on the kitchen counter.
When it is full, empty it into the compost behind the dry toilet.
Water
Upon your arrival, we will have prepared two 20-liter water tanks for you. If you need additional water, we will show you where to fill the tanks.
Wood stove
Ask us for a hand if you are not familiar with wood stoves, be careful!
There is a fire extinguisher above the stove.
In the dry season, fire hazards are everywhere.
It is absolutely forbidden to light a fire anywhere on and around the property.
Please refrain from smoking in the forest during dry periods.
Cleaning your laundry
it is possible to wash and dry your laundry on request.
25$ per laundry basket.
Life on the farm
The farm is a wonderful place of discovery for children but also a place full of danger.
For their safety, never let your young children walk near animals without supervision.
For questions of cohabitation with the herd and our dogs, pets are not allowed.
If you need anything, we are your only neighbors, come and meet us.
We don’t have a cell phone, so there is no need to contact us by phone or text message.
The following points should be checked, thank you.
In all cases, the immediate surroundings are put back in order, do not leave cigarettes, papers…
Breakage: Any breakage for which you will be responsible will be charged to you in addition.
We are aware that it is not very pleasant to be told what seems obvious to the good maintenance of a place of life, unfortunately by experience we know that it is far too often necessary to remind it.
We are simply asking you to manage the tinyhouse “as a good family man”, an outdated expression nowadays but which we find pretty.
If these requests make you uncomfortable, it is preferable not to book with us.
Nous vous souhaitons un très agréable séjour et vous invitons, si vous le souhaitez, à laisser un message dans notre livre d’or.
Thank you for your visit!
